According to the results of Global Dairy Trade Event 399, the overall price index increased by 5.7%, marking the fifth consecutive auction with positive momentum. The average winning price reached approximately $4,300 per tonne.

Price increases were recorded across all major commodities:

  • Butter — +6.1% to $6,730/t (€5,750)
  • Anhydrous Milk Fat (AMF) — +5.7% to $7,150/t (€6,110)
  • Cheddar cheese — +4.3% to $4,920/t (€4,210)
  • Mozzarella cheese  — +7.9% to $4,190/t (€3,580)
  • Skim Milk Powder (SMP) — +9.1% to $3,240/t (€2,770)
  • Whole Milk Powder (WMP) — +4.5% to $3,860/t (€3,300)

Year-to-Date Dynamics

Since the beginning of 2026 (five auctions), the strongest cumulative gains have been observed in:

  • Butter — +34.5%
  • SMP — +33.5%

This upward trajectory sends a positive price signal for exporters and supports global dairy market quotations, particularly in fat and powder segments.

Overall, the sustained rally indicates strengthening demand and improved market sentiment in early 2026.
