Last week, the Union of Dairy Enterprises of Ukraine and The NIRAS Group, an international consultancy company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate on the development and modernization of Ukraine’s dairy sector.
This partnership aims to support the transformation of the dairy industry in line with European practices, strengthen cooperation between Ukrainian and international stakeholders, and contribute to the sustainable development of the agri-food sector.
Key areas of cooperation include:
- strategic planning and development of the dairy sector
- support for sustainable agriculture and dairy processing
- strengthening the competitiveness of Ukrainian dairy enterprises, including alignment with EU requirements
- implementation of capacity-building programs, training, and knowledge exchange
- development of dialogue between industry, government, academia, and international partners
- joint participation in industry events, initiatives, and international projects
The Memorandum establishes a framework for structured cooperation, including expert and advisory support, analytical work, educational initiatives, and experience exchange programs for dairy sector stakeholders.
This cooperation is expected to contribute to the long-term development of the dairy industry, regional economic growth, food security, and Ukraine’s integration into European agri-food value chains.
