As of the first half of 2025, 1.8 million tons of milk were delivered for industrial processing which is 10.6% more than last year and 19.3% more than in 2023.
Key facts
• Dairy farms supplied 1.58 million tons (+6% vs. 2024, +19.4% vs. 2023).
• Deliveries from households continue to decline — 0.17 million tons (1.8 times less than two years ago).
• The share of milk processed under tolling arrangements has grown to 7% (previously only 1.5%).
• The average sales price in 2025 increased by +16% compared to 2024 and by +42% compared to 2023.
The main reasons of such are :
• the development of high-yield dairy farms;
• increased milk yields per cow as a result of improved herd management;
• an enlarged number of operators officially providing statistical reports.
According to the Union of Dairy Enterprises of Ukraine’s forecast, the growth trend in milk deliveries for industrial processing will persist and in 2026 Ukraine may approach the level of 4 million tons of raw milk delivered for processing.
