About 20% of “Yagotynske” and “Yagotynske for Kids” are packaged in Tetra Pak® packaging, which is mainly made from cardboard produced from FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) certified wood and other responsible sources.
This is a response to global environmental challenges and growing consumer demand for products manufactured with respect for the environment. Information about environmental friendliness is already displayed on the packaging of ultra-pasteurized milk sold in retail chains.
Inna Ivanova, Director of Strategic Development at the Milk Alliance Group of Companies, commented on this initiative:
“The quality has always been and remains a fundamental value for “Yagotinsky”. Today, we are expanding this concept: quality is not only about a flawless product inside, but also about a responsible attitude towards the environment. Tetra Pak packaging made from FSC-certified cardboard is a logical step in our sustainable development strategy. The use of eco-friendly packaging gives Ukrainian consumers the opportunity to make daily choices in favor of preserving ecosystems for future generations.”
FSC® certification is considered as the “gold standard” in responsible forest management. It guarantees that all wood used in the production of cardboard packaging comes from forests that are managed in an environmentally acceptable, socially oriented, and economically viable manner. This includes preserving biodiversity and ensuring the regeneration of forest resources.
In today’s world, waste sorting and recycling is becoming one of the most dynamic industries, profoundly affecting all aspects of our lives. This process plays a crucial role in reducing the size of landfills, preventing environmental pollution, and conserving natural resources through the reuse of secondary raw materials. There are 34 products available in Tetra Pak’s eco-friendly packaging: ultra-pasteurized milk, including lactose-free milk, cream, milk porridge, and smoothies.
