According to AgroPortal.ua, in 2026 the VITAGRO Group of Companies plans to intensify the development of its livestock business, with a focus on dairy farming and product processing.
This was stated by the Group’s CEO, Petro Labaziuk. According to him, the company is among the three largest pork producers in the western region and continues to expand its production capacity by building new pig complexes and poultry houses. At the same time, VITAGRO is developing dairy farming: the current milking herd numbers about 5,500 cows, with plans to increase it to 6,500 in the future.
The company is also investing in genetics, in particular by importing pedigree Jersey cattle from Denmark. The first 257 cows have already been placed on farms in Rivne Region.
Given the expansion of livestock farming, processing remains a key investment area. VITAGRO plans to launch a large meat processing plant with slaughter facilities for all types of meat, as well as freezing and packaging capacities. In the long term, the company is considering a transition to deeper processing and the production of meat products.
The company also pays special attention to its feed base. The existing feed mill no longer meets the needs of the livestock operations, so a master plan for the construction of another facility has been approved. In addition, VITAGRO has completed the reconstruction of the extraction line at its sunflower processing plant with a capacity of 500 tonnes per day, which operates using both the company’s own raw materials and products supplied by local farmers.
The company notes that the investments are aimed not only at preserving the business, but also at further development, job creation, and support for local communities.
