Leonid Tulush, Head of the Analytical Service at the Union of Dairy Enterprises of Ukraine, notes that at yesterday’s GDT auction (Event 398), the overall index increased for the fourth consecutive time, adding +3.6% and reaching USD 4.03 thousand.

Positive dynamics were observed across most traded products.

Price increases:

  • Butter — +10.87% to $6.35 thousand (≈ €5.35 thousand)
  • Anhydrous Milk Fat (AMF) — +3.8% to $6.75 thousand (≈ €5.70 thousand)
  • Mozzarella cheese — +5.0% to $3.88 thousand (≈ €3.27 thousand)
  • Whole Milk Powder (WMP) — +2.5% to $3.71 thousand (≈ €3.13 thousand)
  • Skim Milk Powder (SMP) — +3.0% to $2.97 thousand (≈ €2.51 thousand)

The only decline was recorded for Cheddar cheese — down 1.0% to $4.74 thousand (≈ €4.00 thousand).

Dynamics over the last four auctions

Across two January and two February auctions, prices have shown a significant recovery:

  • Butter increased by 26.6% — from USD 5.01 thousand to USD 6.35 thousand
  • SMP rose by 22.3% — from USD 2.43 thousand to USD 2.97 thousand
