Agro-industrial holding Astarta is steadily modernising its livestock facilities, investing in farm upgrades, better animal welfare and greater production efficiency, the company reports.
The latest step is the modernisation of one of the holding’s largest livestock complexes in the Khmelnytskyi region. The project was designed around practicality, efficient use of resources and room for further expansion, with optimal animal housing conditions as the main priority. Among other upgrades, a modern 40-cow rotary milking parlour has been installed, providing comfortable, fast and efficient milking. The complex currently houses 2,000 head of cattle.
Dairy farming remains one of Astarta’s strategic areas of development, said founder and CEO Viktor Ivanchyk, with investment in the dairy segment exceeding UAH 1 billion over the past two and a half years alone. The result, he noted, is market leadership in industrial milk production and a 99% share of extra-grade milk.
The upgrade forms part of a large infrastructure programme the holding is continuing to implement in 2026. Alongside modernising its complexes, the company is introducing the latest digital technologies in livestock farming, improving the energy efficiency of its farms and working to enhance the herd’s genetics.
