A new modern dairy farm has opened in the Zhytomyr region — the second such facility to launch this year. According to the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration’s Department of Agro-Industrial Complex, PSA Novoselytsia completed the large-scale project despite the ongoing wartime conditions.
The Novoselytsia PSA has opened a new, state-of-the-art dairy farm designed to house 800 milking cows. The implementation of such a large-scale project is further proof that the agricultural sector in the Zhytomyr region continues to develop and invest in livestock farming, even in wartime.
The new farm has been equipped to the highest technical standards and features new facilities, a milking parlour, state-of-the-art animal housing systems, as well as facilities for the high-quality storage and cooling of milk. The use of advanced approaches to livestock management will ensure high levels of herd productivity and milk quality.
The company places particular emphasis on energy efficiency and energy security. In light of current challenges and risks, a solar power plant has been installed on the farm, enabling it to meet some of its operational needs with its own electricity and to enhance the stability of the farm’s operations.
It is significant that this is already the second new dairy farm to open in the region since the start of the year. This trend highlights the considerable potential of the Zhytomyr region for the development of dairy farming, the investment appeal of the agricultural sector, and the willingness of businesses to adopt modern European approaches to livestock farming.
The development of modern dairy farming complexes is of great importance to the region’s economy, as it creates new jobs, supports rural areas, increases the production of high-quality dairy products, and strengthens food security in the region and across the country.
