On 14 January 2026, an on-site meeting of the regional expert commission took place at LLC “SK Promin” (Zasluchnenska rural community, Khmelnytskyi District). The enterprise underwent an inspection for the assignment of breeding reproducer status for breeding Holstein cattle.
During the visit, specialists examined the cow herd, assessed the animals’ compliance with breed requirements, productivity levels, housing conditions, and farm management practices. Compliance with legislative requirements regarding animal identification was also checked.
Based on the inspection results, the commission concluded that the enterprise meets the established requirements. The materials will be submitted to the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine for a final decision.
What the breeding reproducer status provides
Breeding reproducer status means that the enterprise is officially recognized as one that breeds pedigree livestock with confirmed breed and productivity indicators.
For the enterprise, this provides the opportunity to:
- officially sell pedigree animals and young stock to other farms;
- increase the value of the herd and market competitiveness;
- participate in state support programs for pedigree livestock breeding;
- systematically improve herd quality and milk yields.
For the sector as a whole, this means improved dairy cattle genetics, increased farm productivity, and more stable milk production indicators.
