A new farm for rearing young cattle has been commissioned in Stryi District of Lviv Region. The facility was built on the basis of the farm enterprise “Pchany – Denkovych” in the village of Pchany.

The new livestock complex is designed to accommodate up to 650 head of young cattle at the same time. Total investment in the project amounted to approximately UAH 65 million. The construction of the farm is aimed at expanding the enterprise’s production capacity, improving animal housing conditions, and further increasing herd numbers.

The launch of the facility is part of the development of modern livestock farming in the region and will contribute to enhancing the investment attractiveness of Lviv Region’s agricultural sector, strengthening regional food security, and creating new jobs in the local community.

The farm enterprise “Pchany – Denkovych” has been operating since 2010 and specializes in breeding dairy cattle, as well as growing grain and feed crops. The enterprise cultivates more than 1.1 thousand hectares of agricultural land, most of which is arable land.

As of today, the farm keeps 1,234 head of cattle, including 378 cows. During 2025, the herd increased by 124 head. The average milk yield per cow based on 2024 results amounted to 7,705 kg, which significantly exceeds the regional average. Extra-grade milk is supplied to processing plants and retail chains in Stryi District.

To improve the genetic potential of the herd, the enterprise annually invests in the purchase of high-yield breeding heifers. In 2025, 68 head were purchased, while the reared young stock is sold to other commercial farms.

Over the years of operation, the enterprise has implemented a number of investment projects, including the construction of a European-standard cowshed for 150 cows with a modern milking block and refrigeration equipment, a grain cleaning complex with a capacity of 250 tonnes per day, a grain storage facility with a capacity of 4,000 tonnes, and the renewal of its agricultural machinery fleet.

The enterprise participates in regional support programs for the agricultural sector. In 2025, it received more than UAH 1.19 million in state support, including subsidies for herd growth and partial compensation for the cost of breeding heifers.
