Poland’s raw-milk supply to processors was more than 3% higher in May 2026 than in April, and, according to the national statistics office (GUS), producers delivered 1.23 billion litres of raw milk in May — up 2.5% year on year, Portal Spożywczy reports, citing the Analysis and Strategy Bureau of the National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR).

Podlaskie leads milk-output growth
In May 2026, the most milk (by processor location) was collected in Podlaskie — 277.1 million litres (+4.6% YoY), Mazowieckie — 259.5 million (+2.2%) and Wielkopolskie — 224.6 million (+2.8%). The least was collected in Podkarpackie — 8.4 million litres (−6.8%) and Lubuskie — 8.8 million (−18.8%).
For January–May 2026, Podlaskie again led with 1,316.9 million litres (+3.9%), followed by Mazowieckie (1,226.1 million, +2.3%) and Wielkopolskie (1,101.3 million, +5.6%), while Podkarpackie was lowest at 36.7 million (−4.4%).
Shifts in milk supply
Month on month, May intake fell in just two regions — Zachodniopomorskie (−7.8%) and Wielkopolskie (−0.6%) — and rose elsewhere, led by Podkarpackie (+16.1%), Warmińsko-Mazurskie (+8.3%), Pomorskie (+6.7%) and Małopolskie (+6.3%).
Year on year, May intake fell in four regions — Lubuskie (−18.8%), Zachodniopomorskie (−13.5%), Podkarpackie (−6.8%) and Warmińsko-Mazurskie (−0.8%) — and rose in the other 12, with the biggest percentage gains in Małopolskie (+7.1%) and Kujawsko-Pomorskie (+6.4%).
Annual change in milk intake
Over January–May 2026, milk intake rose year on year in 14 regions, led by Wielkopolskie (+5.6%), Kujawsko-Pomorskie (+5.3%) and Małopolskie (+5.0%). Intake fell only in Podkarpackie (−4.4%) and Lubuskie (−3.2%).
