Agroprodservice and Molokia will jointly build a new plant for the production of hard cheeses. This was announced by Taras Baran, Director of the Commercial Department of Agroprodservice, at the New Food Summit conference, Latifundist.com reports.
“Together with Molokia, we are launching a new project. We already have preliminary calculations — the construction of a cheese plant that will produce hard cheeses. The plant is expected to process 100 tons of milk per day and produce 10 tons of hard cheese daily,” Baran said.
The plant will become a new business direction for Agroprodservice. In the production and sales of finished products, the company will rely on Molokia’s experience, which will ensure quality and efficiency of processes.
Currently, Agroprodservice ranks second in Ukraine in terms of daily milk yields — about 220 tons — and aims to reach 500 tons of raw milk per day.
In addition, Agroprodservice initiated the creation of the Ukrainian Jersey Association.
Today, the company maintains 2,050 milking Jersey cows, with a total herd of about 4,800 animals — the highest number among all farms in the country.
“The first 252 Jersey cows we imported from Denmark in 2021. The breed proved economically advantageous: it consumes less feed and delivers good output. So we began scaling this direction and now operate three Jersey farms. And since many farms became interested in our experience, we decided to initiate the creation of an association to develop this sector together,” said Andrii Baran.
