Its partners will now likely have to buy such packaging from competitors.

The former plant of Norwegian liquid-food packaging producer Elopak, located in the «Utkina Zavod» industrial zone in the Vsevolozhsky district of Leningrad oblast, has suspended operations, according to a letter from the head of the enterprise — AO Praymkartonpak — sent to counterparties on 30 July, the content of which was reviewed by Vedomosti

Praymkartonpak confirmed that such a message had been sent to partners.

Per the document, on 24 July 2026 a fire broke out at the «Utkina Zavod» warehouse complex, damaging the company’s production premises. That same day, Ukrainian Armed Forces drones attacked a Wildberries logistics centre located in the same industrial zone.

Access to the site is currently suspended for safety reasons and to carry out emergency recovery work, a representative said. However, according to the information available to them, the organisation’s production premises have been destroyed and the equipment there is beyond repair.
