At SIAL Paris 2026, the stand of the Union of Dairy Enterprises of Ukraine (UDEU) was visited by Alexander Anton, Secretary General of the European Dairy Association (EDA), UDEU reports.
At the stand, he met UDEU Executive Director Nataliia Haidt and Oleksandr Avramuk, Chair of the UDEU European Integration Committee and CEO of Lactalis Ukraine.
Dialogue on EU market integration
The parties held a substantive professional discussion on developing cooperation between the Ukrainian and European dairy industries, current challenges for Ukrainian producers and prospects for further integration of Ukraine’s dairy sector into the European Union (EU) single market.
The visit was an important continuation of the systematic dialogue between UDEU and EDA, following the EDA Annual Convention held in Bratislava on 14–16 October with the participation of UDEU representatives.
Strategic priorities of cooperation
Strategic priorities include deeper integration of Ukraine’s dairy industry into the EU single market, removing trade barriers, ensuring fair and predictable trading conditions and putting the Roadmap for the European integration of Ukraine’s dairy sector into practice.

For Ukrainian dairy companies that continue to operate during the full-scale war, the support of European industry partners is especially important. It strengthens the representation of Ukrainian producers’ interests at European level, develops professional dialogue and creates long-term opportunities for growth and greater competitiveness.
Thanks to European partners
UDEU sincerely thanks Alexander Anton and the European Dairy Association team for their consistent support of Ukraine, openness to constructive dialogue and joint work on the European future of Ukraine’s dairy industry.
The union is convinced that the future of Ukraine’s dairy industry lies in close cooperation with European partners, mutually strengthening competitiveness and full integration into the European dairy community.
UDEU continues to strengthen international partnerships and represent the interests of Ukraine’s dairy industry at European level.
The participation of Ukrainian Business Support Organisations (BSOs) in the national pavilion at SIAL Paris 2026 is supported by the Swiss Import Promotion Programme (SIPPO).
